Christmas Eve
Danny had to work part of the day so the boys and I just hung out and waited for Dad to get home. Matthew wasn't feeling very well most the day so he pretty much just slept. When Danny got home Mason and I ran a few last minute errands and I took him to see the movie Alvin and the chipmunks. Matthew woke up feeling much better so we went ahead and went to the 7 pm service at First Lutheran. We sang Silent Night by candlelight and Mason thought he was so special because he got to hold his own candle. The service was beautiful and we all enjoyed getting to go. After church we came home ate spaghetti and made cookies for Santa.

Staples
Last night Matthew and Mason were playing football in the living room, Matthew tackled Mason a wee bit too hard and Mason fell and hit his head on the corner of the wall. It was awful and there was lots of blood. We took him to the ER and they said he would be fine and gave him 2 staples. He says it doesn't even hurt but that he will not be playing football in the living room again. It freaked me out - yuck! The bottom picture is Mason with the stapler that the ER doctor gave him. He can't wait to take it to school and show all of his friends.

Thanksgiving
We traveled to Denton, Tx for Thanksgiving to Danny's grandparents house. I only got a couple of pictures while we were there - I guess I didn't do very well. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins and their aunt Megan who was home from West Point. It was great to see everybody.
Basketball Time
Mason has started YMCA basketball and is having a great time playing. We have only had one game which didn't go so well but hopefully the next one will be better. Danny is coaching his team which Mason really enjoys.

Singing at School
Mason's kindergarten class performed last night at the general PTC meeting, or as Mason refers to it "the TPC meeting". His class sang 2 songs about Thanksgiving and turkeys and then recited the numbers 1-10 in Spanish. He was a little nervous at first (there were over 100 people watching) but after the first song he seemed better and was just fine.

Last Tournaments, Danny's Birthday & The Haunted Barn! Oh my!
The boys finished their last fall baseball tournaments last night. Mason's team ended up 2nd in the tournament and also 2nd in the fall ball league. He did such a good job this season. Matthew's team ended up 3rd in the tournament and also 3rd in the league. Matthew also did a good job and we keep reminding him when he gets down about the 3rd place finishes that his team is the youngest with all of the boys being 10 or 11 and the other 2 teams consisting of mostly 12 year old's who are getting ready to turn 13!
Danny turned the big 31 yesterday! The boys picked out a cake for him at United (notice the fall theme) and then I let Mason decorate it however he wanted (while Danny and Matthew played some catch ALONE) so of course Mason went all out with the oreo's being added.
Saturday night we took the boys to Tonkawa to The Haunted Barn that they have each year. Mason loved it and didn't get scared at all. He did however let Danny hold him the entire time except for when you have to crawl through this tunnel and you have to do it yourself. Matthew on the other hand held onto my hand with a death grip and of course later said it didn't scare him at all. Yeah right! We had a really good time. Mason crashed on the way home from all of the excitement and Matthew obviously was allergic to something in the barn (probably the hay) and had to have benadryl on the way home. He wasn't crying I promise.

Fall State Tournament and The Pumpkin Patch
Matthew played in the Fall State Tournament 2 weekends ago in Edmond and the boys won the championship! It was great to see the boys play so well and they deserved their 1st place win. Matthew pitched quite a bit that weekend and did a great job.
I took off 2 Friday's ago and went with Mason's class to the pumpkin patch which is located just south of Winfield. The kids ate lunch at the park and then were able to pick out a pumpkin to take home. I went to this same place with Matthew when he was in Kindergarten. Mason and I had a good time.

One Crazy Weekend!
Let me first say...can you believe it! I have new pictures up! I almost can't believe it myself.
This weekend has been crazy! Both of the boys played in a mid-season tournament for their baseball teams. Christy, Ian, Lia, Mom and Dad came to visit and we attended a parade downtown and also Oktoberfest which is held every year here in Ponca City.
We started Friday evening off with both of the boys having games (at the same time of course) so we went back and forth between them. Saturday Danny had to work and the boys also played at the same time with Mason playing 2 games on Saturday and Matthew playing 3. Saturday morning before baseball Christy and I took the kids downtown to see the Centennial Parade which was really good but very long! The kids had a good time. Mason finished up his games Saturday night with a 1st place win and an awesome (his words) blue trophy! He was so tired because we didn't finish until after 8 but he was so proud. Matthew played in the championship game today but unfortunately lost to the other team so his team took 2nd. Matthew pitched and did excellent we just couldn't get the bats going and the fielding to gel together. The boys had a great weekend of ball. We are on to Edmond next weekend for a State Tournament with his traveling team. Wish us luck!
I just wanted to let my sister know that I appreciate her driving all the way here to see us and I had fun hanging out with her even though it was for a very short time. Next time we will have to make sure nothing is going on so we can visit a little more. I love you!
Well...I just want to say hello to everyone and hope everyone is doing well.

Updating again...
Hi all....I know I have been absolutely horrible about pictures lately! I promise promise I will get some new ones soon.
Well...we are still doing the same 'ol things. A normal day for us is work, homework, baseball, dinner and off to bed to wake up and do it all over again. Matthew's pitching lessons are going really good and after watching him pitch the other night at ball I can see that he has learned so much. Mason caught his first pop fly of the season at his game on Tuesday and he was so proud! He was playing short stop and did an excellent job. We will be traveling to Edmond the weekend of October 12-14 with Matthew's traveling team The Bombers to compete in a Fall State Tournament so he has been having practices to prepare for that weekend. We pretty much eat, sleep and speak baseball! :) We love it though.
Danny and I will be celebrating our 11th year anniversary on the 26th of October and we talk about how it just doesn't feel possible for it to have been that long. Where has all of the time gone?
Danny has been really busy at work and is looking forward to taking a week of vacation towards the middle part of October. He really needs it but we are so glad the company is doing well and is so busy.
My job is going great and I really enjoy what I am doing and the people I work with are great. I still feel a little guilty now and then for not being there to pick up the boys from school but they seem to be doing just fine.
Well...back to the hussle and bussle of our lives. Hope everyone is doing wonderful and hope we get to see all of our families soon.

A Williams Family Update
Hi All. Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. We have been busier than ever! I started a new job a couple of weeks ago, the boys both started fall baseball and Matthew is getting ready to start taking pitching lessons from a pitching coach in Stillwater. Of course both boys still have school and homework and all of that good stuff.
I knew that I would go back to work this year since Mason was starting Kindergarten but I never thought it would be this soon. The job pretty much fell in my lap. I am working as the staff assistant to Human Resources for the junior college in a nearby town. I went over to interview for a different position and ended up with a better one.The drive is not bad it's just the getting everyone up and around in the morning and dropped off at their schools and then getting to work by 8. I have not worked full-time since before I had Mason and it is defenitely an adjustment. Lets just say my house is one big disaster and if everyone has something to wear the next day then I consider us doing good. As I am typing this my husband is in the laundry room getting those "next day" clothes ready for tomorrow. :)
Mason had his first baseball game tonight and it was so much fun to watch. They do not have an 6 and under league for fall baseball so he is playing in the 8 and under league. Needless to say he is the smallest one but let me tell you something, he can hang with any of those other older boys. He got a triple and a single tonight and playing the position of pitcher (he didn't pitch but he stands there to field the ball). He had a great time and can't wait until next game.
Matthew had his first baseball game last night and their team did really well even though we did not win. Matthew did some pitching, played some first base and also caught some. Baseball is his sport - there is no doubt about that.
We had some bad news Sunday. Our friends Kyle and Nikki Hibbets were in a horrible motorcycle accident and are both in critical condition in Tulsa. They were hit almost head on by a car that had been rear-ended and were both thrown over 100 feet. Nikki had to have the part of her leg below her knee amputated and has many other broken bones and lacerations. They have Kyle in a drug-induced coma due to swelling of his brain and he may have to have his foot amputated. We received an update earlier today and they both seem to be doing a little better. It will be a long road ahead for them and we would just ask that everyone keep them in your prayers. They have two sons, Hayden and Carter and one daughter Kylee.
I think that is about it. I hope everyone is doing well and I will try and get some new pictures up soon.

First Day of School
Today is the first day of school for the boys. Mason was really excited and didn't have any trouble going right in and getting ready for the day. Matthew was a little weirded out I think when we took Mason to St. Marys. I think it finally hit him that he was going to a different school and seeing all of his old classmates was kind of hard. When we got to First Lutheran it was weird for me because it is Matthew's first year there and I don't know many people but everyone was really nice. Matthew noticed right off that he is sitting right next to the new girl for 5th grade. Her name is Hunter and she is a doll. Tall, blonde, blue-eyed. He was grinning and giggling. He may not learn anything if he stays by her all year.

What has been going on with us.
OK...so I know I haven't posted anything in awhile and everyone wants to know what is going on with us. Well...school starts in 2 days so I promise I will have new pics to post from that and also fall baseball has started for Matthew. Mason will be playing fall baseball and soccer but we have not been contacted by his coaches yet. We are about to get really really busy! I love it though.
Mason has been asking his Daddy to teach him how to tie his shoes and said that he HAD to know how to do it before he goes to Kindergarten. So Danny has been working with him on tying his shoes and he is a pro already. He can even double knot his tennis shoes which is very important to Mason because he hates when his shoes come untied. He is very very proud and has been telling anyone who will listen that he can now tie his shoes all by himself.
I think Matthew has grown 3 inches this summer! He is a giant! I almost cannot believe it. I had him try on his jeans from last school year thinking that I would not have to buy him any right now and he couldn't wear any of them! They were all atleast 2-3 inches too short! He has been eating like crazy and has been complaing some about his hips and legs aching and I just thought it was his muscles but I think it may just be from growing so much. If he keeps at it like this, he is going to pass me by the end of this school year.
Matthew and his friend Collin threw a back to school party for the First Lutheran 5th grade class last week at Wentz Pool here in Ponca City. We had cupcakes and fruit and the kids swam and got to know each other. Some for the first time and some just since school let out in the Spring. Matthew will be 1 of 3 new boys in the class and there will be 1 new girl. His class will have 24 kids I believe which is a huge difference from his class at St. Mary's which only had 11. He is very excited to be changing schools.
Ok...so you are pretty much caught up and like I said I promise I will have some new pics up soon!
Goodnight and Have a great week!

White Water Bay
The boys and I traveled to OKC yesterday to go to White Water Bay with Danny's sister and her family. We arrived at 10:30 on the dot to be one of the first few there and stayed until around 4:30. Needless to say, we were all exhausted by the time we headed home. The kids had a great time and we are defenitely going to go back and take Dad with us. That is Matt in the second picture going down the "scary" slide.

Happy Birthday Mason!!
My baby is 5! Yesterday was Mason's birthday and he decided that he would like to eat at Chili's and have a molten chocolate cake to celebrate with. I asked the waiter to bring him a couple of cherries since he loves them so much and as you can see the waiter really "hooked him up." As you can tell in the second picture, my child is naked. He said since it's my birthday can I swim naked? I said sure why not, it IS your birthday! The boy would go naked ALL the time everywhere if I would let him.

Swimming on his own.
My little fish is swimming on his own. He has been practicing and practicing. He swims from the latter to the other side of the pool and back, treads water and is diving down and picking things up off the bottom of the pool. He is a determined little fish...but those of you that know him well already knew that little bit of information.
