Mason's 6U league baseball team the Lake Monsters won the championship of the Post Season Tournament on Sunday. Their team was undefeated for the season and the tournament. Mason was super excited about the 2 trophies that he received for the season and the tournament. Matthew's league team didn't fare as well this weekend. They lost their first two games which put them out of the tournament. League baseball is now over so we are concentrating on Bomber's baseball and look forward to the 2 state tournaments the last two weekends of June.

Just an update
It's been awhile since I posted anything new and hope everyone enjoys what I have posted today. Just wanted to update everyone on what is going on in the Williams family. School was out for the boys a couple of weeks ago and as of now I have a 6th grader and a 1st grader!! Can that really be true? My oldest child is in middle school and my youngest is already done with Kindergarten?! Wow!!! Mason had his Kindergarten "graduation" on the last day of school and he was a little bit sad since he will not be returning to St. Marys next year for 1st grade. He is going to go to First Lutheran with his brother and he is already excited about that. He knows a couple of the kids that will be in his class from baseball and other things. As I said Matthew will be in the 6th grade and as you can tell from the pictures he is growing up so fast! He is looking forward to changing classes in the middle school and getting to go to the girl/boy dances. :)
We are still playing baseball - what a shocker! :) Matthew played his last league game last night and Mason played his tonight. Both of the boys will play in the end of season tournament this weekend here in Ponca City. Next weekend we get a break from traveling and baseball (as of right now) and then the last 2 weekends in June are State tournaments with one being in Edmond and the other being in Claremore. I wish everyone could have seen Matthew pitch last night - it was overwhelming how good he did and I was so proud of him! He pitched a full 6 innings which is a lot for an 11 year old but he fought through it and did an awesome job! We ended up going into extra innings with the Fairfax team and beat them 8-6. Matthew is still on cloud nine today after that game last night.
As some of you know I resigned from my job at the college but am still working there part-time to help with a couple of projects and to train the person who takes my position. We have struggled all year with me working full-time (more than full-time with the driving to Tonkawa) and have decided that it is much better for everyone if I am home part of the time with and for the boys. I look forward to "getting to know" them again this summer. Although I saw them everyday and took care of them it almost felt like I didn't know them sometimes this past year and am so lucky that I get to stay home with them again part-time and just hang out with them.
Anyway, I know I am babbling and going on and on. Hope everyone is doing great and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Dodgers Tournament - Glenpool, OK
Last weekend Matthew's league baseball team the Dodgers were to play in a tournament in Glenpool, OK. Saturday we had rain in Glenpool and ended up only playing 1 game that day. We won 19-1 which put us at the number 2 seed and then on Sunday we had more rain so the tournament was rained out. We were a little disappointed that we did not get to finish the tournament and were hoping to finish very well. On Saturday, Mimi and Papa came over to watch the games but with the games being pushed back we had some time to kill. Mimi and Papa took us to the Jenks Aquarium and the boys had a great time. Mason was very excited about seeing the tiger sharks and the other things at the aquarium.

3rd Annual Brian Crawford Memorial Tournament - Shawnee, OK
The Bombers played in the Brian Crawford Memorial Tournament in Shawnee over Memorial Day Weekend. Once again the Bombers played some great baseball and ended up taking 2nd place losing to the Flower Mound Stingers a AAA team from Texas. We were very evenly matched with the Stingers and had beat them the day before in pool play. We lost the game
13-12 but the boys were very happy. It was very hot that weekend and you can tell summer is just around the corner.

Super N.I.T. - Moore, Oklahoma
The Ponca City Bombers won the championship of the Super N.I.T. in Moore, Oklahoma recently. The boys played awesome and really worked hard for that trophy. We were tied in the last inning with 2 outs and one of our boys had a great hit to right field and one of the other boys came in to get the winning run. It was so exciting to see the boys play so well and they deserved that championship! Sorry the picture is so bad - my camera was not cooperating for some reason that night.
