Bulldogs Baseball

This past weekend Mason was asked to play with a 6U team out of Mustang in a tournament in Del City. The tournament was called "The Show" and each team got to choose what MLB team they wanted to be for the weekend so the Bulldogs played as the Giants. The Bulldogs/Giants won first place and Mason was very happy that they asked him to play. It was weird for Danny and I since it was Mason playing ball and not Matthew. Next weekend is the Super NIT in Moore for the bombers so we will be at it again just this time with Matthew.

Tournament Champs!

5 games played + 5 games won = a first place trophy! The Bombers, the 11 year old traveling baseball team Matthew plays on won 1st place this weekend in Stillwater. The boys played extremely well on both Saturday and Sunday and made it to the championship game late Sunday afternoon. After some controversy with the other team and the umpire, the Stillwater Thunder forfeited the game to us and we won the championship. It wasn't how we wanted to win the game but that is what happened. I'm sure the boys would have beat them again if we would have finished the game.

Mason got some exciting news this weekend also...He was asked to play with a 6U traveling team out of Mustang, OK in a tournament in Wichita Falls, TX in May. I didn't quite think that Mason would travel this early in his baseball career but it looks to be a fun weekend for him and his dad. I will be staying with Matthew that weekend and watching him play in another tournament.

American Idol

The First Lutheran School Talent Show was Friday night and Matthew was Randy Jackson in a skit about American Idol. He wore a head cover that made him look bald and said "Yo Dawg" many times to the "contestants" participating in the show. Thats him on the left with his bald head.

OSU vs. Nebraska

We took the boys to the OSU cowboys vs. the Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball game last weekend in Stillwater. The Cornhuskers were down 2 games to zero against the cowboys but won big on Sunday 14-5. It was freezing and really windy but we had a great time anyway. Mason took his glove with him to try to catch foul balls but none ever came his way. He was given a foul ball by a guy who had caught one earlier and he was pretty excited about that.

Lake Monsters Baseball

Just a quick picture of Mason in his Lake Monsters uniform. He is so proud to finally be playing real baseball with his best friend Luke. So far they are undefeated and are all the "talk" of the 6U league. Yes...there is drama in 6u baseball here in Ponca City, America. :)
