Birthday Party #2

Saturday we had another birthday party for Mason and he had some of his friends from school and soccer over to eat hot dogs and swim. They all had a great time. Mason was really glad some of his friends finally got to come to his house.

White Water Bay

The boys and I traveled to OKC yesterday to go to White Water Bay with Danny's sister and her family. We arrived at 10:30 on the dot to be one of the first few there and stayed until around 4:30. Needless to say, we were all exhausted by the time we headed home. The kids had a great time and we are defenitely going to go back and take Dad with us. That is Matt in the second picture going down the "scary" slide.

Happy Birthday Mason!!

My baby is 5! Yesterday was Mason's birthday and he decided that he would like to eat at Chili's and have a molten chocolate cake to celebrate with. I asked the waiter to bring him a couple of cherries since he loves them so much and as you can see the waiter really "hooked him up." As you can tell in the second picture, my child is naked. He said since it's my birthday can I swim naked? I said sure why not, it IS your birthday! The boy would go naked ALL the time everywhere if I would let him.

Lake Time

We went to the lake yesterday and today for a few hours each time. We are finally getting the hang of the sea doo and the tube. The boys would stay out 24/7 if we would let them. They have been having a great time and Danny and I have been too.

Swimming on his own.

My little fish is swimming on his own. He has been practicing and practicing. He swims from the latter to the other side of the pool and back, treads water and is diving down and picking things up off the bottom of the pool. He is a determined little fish...but those of you that know him well already knew that little bit of information.

Brothers

Sometimes I think my boys will never learn to get along and have fun together. I know they love each other but at their ages they think they HAVE to love each other. Yesterday after we were done swimming I took them out some crackers and grapes and they sat on the swing and just "hung out" together for a long time. There was no hitting or screaming or "I hate you's". I know that as they get older they will not only love each other because they HAVE to but because they WANT to.

Danny's new toy...ok ok....everyone's new toy!

Danny has been talking about getting a jet ski for a long time now and last week while the boys were in Arkansas with my mom and dad we decided we would go and check them out. Well...as you can see we now have one! We did not tell the boys that we were getting it so after I picked them up from my parents Friday afternoon in Tulsa I told the boys that we had to go to Bass Pro Shop and look for something for Daddy. When we pulled into the parking lot the boys were still telling me all about Mt. Magazine and didn't even notice Danny standing next to his truck and the Sea Doo. Matthew had just mentioned to me a few minutes before we got there how he would really like to have a jet ski and would I help him talk Dad into it. Needless to say, the boys were so excited and screamed and yelled and hugged their Daddy. We picked up a new tube for the boys to ride on and have spent the last 3 days at the lake. We are all exhausted but can't wait until we take the Sea Doo out again.

Spending some time with Mimi & Papa at Mt. Magazine

The boys spent a few days with my parents this past week in Arkansas. They traveled to Mt. Magazine State Park where they swam, hiked, cooked out and had a great time. Both of the boys were trying to tell me all at once about there time at Mt. Magazine in the car. I had a really relaxing few days and really appreciate my mom and dad for watching the boys and for taking them to Mt. Magazine. I guess mom was taking all of the pictures because I didn't get any from her of her! Thanks again!!

Birthday Party #1

Mason will be turning 5 on July 26 so we went ahead and gave him a party at my parents house in Arkansas while we were there last week. He had a great time swimming in the pool, opening his gifts and eating ice cream sundaes. Thanks to everyone who came and for all of his great gifts!

Happy 4th of July!!

There's nothing like swimming, having a cookout, watching fireworks and eating watermelon. That is exactly what Matthew said about the 4th yesterday. I think he is right, we all had a great time and are already looking forward to next year.
